Bugs and such on the Walker River

Lorquin’s Admiral on a buffalo berrydryope hairstreak

One of my jobs is making maps of vegetation. This summer that includes work along the east fork, west fork and main stem of the Walker River. The east fork starts at the reservoir in the town of Bridgeport, CA. Really the river begins above the reservoir but my project starts there. The west fork starts below Sonorra pass in Leavitt Meadows. Again the headwaters are above Leavitt Meadows that but my mapping and plant collections start there.
